Poop happens… a lot.
You are picking up poo several times a day. This is more important than you may think!
You want reliable bags and easy to use waste bag dispensers. There are horror stories of poop falling out the other end since they were poorly made, and sometimes you just get really frustrated when you have difficulty getting a poop bag! You sure don’t want to be a victim of either bad situation!
Waste Bags
We will continue to use these poop bags - both do the job well, just different costs and feel.
Earth Rated
Pros: Biodegradable, thick, available in lavender and unscented, 9”x13”, easy to open (indication where to tear), has a inner core for smooth rolls
Cons: Pricing is mid-range (roughly 66 cents/roll of 15 bags)
Gorilla Supply
Pros: Low-cost (roughly 22 cents/roll of 15 bags), one order of 1,000 may last an entire year, strong enough for the job
Cons: Thin texture (used Greenies for illustration), 9”x12” slightly smaller than others
Waste Bag Dispensers
We switch it up between these dispensers. Just a matter if you want to look stylish or simple!
Cloth Bags - TheFoggyDog
Pros: Very stylish, easy to add and remove bags, can fit a second roll when almost done with the first, if not, there is room for treats and a key or two
Cons: Not compatible with all leashes since the clasps are usually small - the leash must have a ring (or attach a key ring or small carabiner), more expensive than plastic dispensers
Note: These are available in many stores and Etsy. Ours are from The Foggy Dog.
Earth Rated
Pros: Pieces screw together (more durable than other plastics), knob inside to ensure a smooth roll, compatible with any leash, has a hook to hang the bag post scooping, easy to clean
Cons: Not compatible with rolls without an inner core (e.g. Gorilla Waste Bags), only holds 1 roll, velcro may get stuck to clothing or rope leash
Note: There are other rolls with the inner core so you do not have to use Earth Rated bags
