What can and can’t your dog eat

Here is a quick list of things you can and cannot feed your dog. Please research for foods not in this list.

Do not add any type of seasoning to something they can eat. Of course, do not feed it if they have allergies.

NO - I CANNOT EAT IT

  • Chocolate

  • Avocado

  • Fruit core, seeds & pits (apple core, pear core, watermelon seeds, apricot pits, etc.)

  • Caffeine

  • Xylitol (commonly found in peanut butter)

  • Onions, Chives, Garlic

  • Grapes & Raisins

  • Almonds & Macadamia Nuts

  • Cinnamon

  • Alcohol

  • Meat with bones (may get stuck in throat)

  • Avoid foods with high salt content

YES - I CAN EAT IT

  • Raw Carrots - great for teeth

  • Apples - source of fiber

  • Milk and Cheese - in moderation

  • Plain Greek Yogurt with no added sugars - aids digestion (regular yogurt is ok too, greek is typically healthier)

  • Cooked salmon, shrimp, or tuna - omega3

  • Plain boiled chicken

  • Peanut butter - NO XYLITOL

  • Blueberries - antioxidants

  • Bananas - good for bone health

  • Cucumbers - low calorie

  • Seedless Watermelon - hydrates

  • Herbs: Parsley, Basil, Tumeric

  • Pumpkin Puree (no sugar) - aids digestion
